"Before taking the GIA courses to become a gemologist, apart from my parents jewelry store, Salvadori in Venice,
I didn't have any trade experience after two months of specialized training in diamonds and four in colored
stones there awoke in me a passion for this unknown and continually-changing world.
I would never have thought that the internal world of a gem could contain such magic.
Today, I'm working in the lab, and for me it's more fun than work: I look at gems in the microscope, I
identify them, and each day I discover extravagantly beautiful things I hadn't even imagined. It's a treat
for my eyes to see how these gems, these gifts of nature, can truly be such works of art. In the future I will
follow in my motherıs footsteps and occupy myself with the design and manufacture of jewelry.
I will never forget the time I spent at GIA. All my questions were answered by the instructors, who were
always available; I met young men and women from every part of Italy and the world with whom I established
great friendships. It was a "brilliant" experience!" |
