Yes. GIA will show you how to get in touch with employers offering employment opportunities within the gem and jewelry industry. GIA's career service offers this free, ongoing benefit to all GIA students and graduates. GIA cannot guarantee employment. Remember that you need to meet the legal requirements of working in any prospective employer's country.

IS THERE FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE TO HELP WITH THE COSTS?
The International Education Finance Corporation (IEFC) is a premier provider of international student loan programs for students who wish to study in foreign countries.
Students attending the Gemological Institute of America – GIA Florence, are eligible to apply for the International Student Loan Program (ISLP) and the CanHELP loan program for Canadians.
The IEFC has many years experience and expertise in financing international education programs using both the Federal Stafford Loan program and international private loan options.
As with all loans and financing, interest rates vary, as do the loan maximums. Eligibility is generally based on a good credit history and proof of income.
