GIA Florence is right in the heart of the city, so it's easy to find an apartment within walking distance to the
school.
Regarding
housing, we too can help you find and book an apartment/room for the duration of your stay.

Housing in Florence

Small one room apartments start from 600 Euro per month and larger 1 & 2 bedroom apartments can cost anything from
800 – 1.200 Euro per month. We also have a list of private landlords that rent apartments and rooms. Again, if you
decide to join us we can help you with your search and send you details via email with photos so that you can book
everything before your arrival in Florence.
Alternatively, it is very easy to find accommodation with other students as there is a large student community here
in Florence. Many choose to book into a hotel for a couple of nights while they check the student notice-boards for
rooms to let which are all over the city in and around in internet cafes etc. A single room in a shared apartment
can cost from 450 Euro per month.
Moving to a new city requires preparation and planning. It may take you a while to find a suitable apartment for
rent. Some GIA students find that the solution to this problem is to stay for a while at a local hotel.
Short stays
If you are enrolled in a short program of a few days or weeks, you should reserve a hotel room or a bed &
breakfast for your stay. Please find below a list of hotels and bed & breakfast places close to the school.
You will need a major credit card for most hotel reservations. GIA staff cannot make reservations for you.

Please remember that there are times during the year when it could be difficult to find a vacancy in Florence. The

September
You will be much happier with your lodging if you reserve a hotel room in advance!
